Ms. Sukanya Shemaka Purdie, 38, of 319 Mt. Olive Rd., Elizabethtown, NC died Saturday, July 3, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. 
 

Survivors- her mother, Claudette Purdie of Elizabethtown, NC, her father, Johnny Ray Demery of Tennessee, one son, Zyeim Maultsby of Durham, NC, two daughters, Samaya Ward and Kaci Purdie both of Elizabethtown, NC. 
 

Funeral- Monday, July 12, 2021 at 2:00pm at Willie E. Johnson Memorial Chapel on the facility of Johnson’s Funeral Service, 207 S. Pine St., Elizabethtown, NC. Eulogy by Pastor Clifton Wooten, Pastor of Faith Temple Holiness Evangelistic Center, 701 S. Latham St., Clarkton, NC. 

Burial- Purdie Cemetery, Elizabethtown, NC.

Viewing- Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at Johnson’s Funeral Service, Elizabethtown, NC.
