Ms. Doris Mae Grimes, 86, of 12437 Hwy 87W, Tar Heel, NC died Monday, April 10, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, NC. 
 

Survivors- one daughter, Kathy Grimes Rigans(Dennis) of Elizabethtown, NC, one son, Kenneth Grimes of Greensboro, NC, one brother, Horace Grimes(Orris) of New York, NY, one sister, Carolyn G. Council of Tar Heel, NC, 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. 
 

Funeral- Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 3:00pm at Clark’s Chapel AME Zion Church, 14743 NC Hwy 87 Tar Heel, NC. Eulogy by Rev. Stephanie McArthur. 
 

Burial- Grimes Cemetery, Tar Heel, NC. 
 

Viewing- Friday, April 14, 2023 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Johnson’s Funeral Service, Elizabethtown, NC. The family will receive friends at the home.
