Mrs. Maybell Beatty Simpson, 95, of 206 Lookout Loop McCormick, SC formerly of Council, NC transitioned on Thursday January 22, 2026 at Laurens County Hospice in Clinton, SC. 
 

Viewing- Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 12:00pm-1:00pm at the church. 
 

Survivors- three daughters, Odessia Daniels(Frank) of Rhode Island, Evanglene Searles(Teddy) of SC and Shirley Bryant(Harold) of New Jersey, one son, George Simpson of SC, three brothers, Cornell Beatty(Nevada), Samuel Beatty and Loydell Beatty(Janette), a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. 
 

Funeral- Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 1:00pm at Trinity AME Zion Church, 2614 Baltimore Rd. Council, NC. Eulogy by Rev. Dr. Valentine Sutton-Page. 
 

Burial- Carver’s Creek Church Cemetery, Council, NC.
