Mrs. Mary Catherine (Smith) King, 67, of Portsmouth, Virginia, formerly of Bladenboro, NC transitioned Friday, December 6, 2024 at Portside Health and Rehabilitation Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. 
 

Survivors- her son, Tavon Harvey, Sr.(Latesha) of Portsmouth,Virginia, her mother, Mary Smith of Bladenboro, NC, her sister, Rev. Betty Stackhouse(Jimmy) of Lumberton, NC, two brothers, James Smith(Wandora) of Dublin, NC and John Smith(Michelle) of Lumberton, NC, 9 grandchildren.

Viewing- Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at Johnson’s Funeral Service, Elizabethtown, NC. 
 

Visitation- The Family will receive friends at 12301 Hwy 41 West, Bladenboro, NC.

Funeral- Sunday, December 15, 2024 at 2:00pm at Baker’s Creek AME Zion Church, Dublin, NC. Rev. Pia Jessup, Pastor and Officiating. Eulogy by Rev. Ricky Wright, Pastor of St. Mary Christian Pentecostal Holy Church in Red Springs, NC. 
 

Burial- Lewis Cemetery, Dublin, NC.
