Mrs. Louise Vernell (McKoy)Monroe, 88, 1016 Shepard Rd., Council, NC, transitioned Friday, December 27, 2024 at her residence.

Survivors- three daughters, Venita McKoy of Elizabethtown, NC, Helen Blanks(Ronnie) of Council, NC and Sandra Atterbury of Knightdale, NC, one sister, Colister Whitley of Washington, DC, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.

Viewing- Friday, January 3, 2025 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at Johnson’s Funeral Service, Elizabethtown, NC. The family will receive friends at the home.

Funeral- Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 1:00pm at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 1604 White Plain Church Rd., Clarkton, NC. Eulogy by Rev. Charles Marsh.

Burial- New Hope Church Cemetery, Clarkton, NC.
