Mrs. Loraine Monroe, 84, of 3435 Mercer Mill Rd., Elizabethtown, NC transitioned on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Cape Fear Valley/Bladen Healthcare in Elizabethtown, NC.

Viewing- Monday, November 17, 2025 from 3:00pm-5:00pm at Johnson’s Funeral Service, Elizabethtown, NC.

Visitation- The family will receive friends at the home.

Survivors- one son, John Monroe of Brooklyn, New York, two brothers, Charles Lee Monroe of Brooklyn, New York and Leonard Monroe of Elizabethtown, NC, one sister. LaVern McKoy(Michael) of Fayetteville, NC, sister-in-law, Kathleen Monroe, 1 granddaughter, Mackenzie Monroe.

Funeral- Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at 12:00pm at Mt. Olive AME Zion Church, 32 Mt. Olive Church Rd., Elizabethtown, NC. Eulogy by Rev. Haywood Oliver.

Burial- New Hope Cemetery, 904 White Plain School Rd., Clarkton, NC.
