Mrs. Lair Frances Council, 85, of 154 Clem Council Rd., White Oak, NC died Monday, March 14, 2022 at her residence.

Survivors- her husband, Rev. Robert Council of the home, four daughters, Shirley Murchison(Joe) of Lumberton, NC, Frances Council(Milton) and Margaret Carter(Lawrence) both of Raleigh, NC, and Clara Council(Joseph) of White Oak, NC, two sons Richard Council of Dublin, NC and James Council(Susanne) of White Oak, NC, five brothers, John Council of Elizabethtown, NC, Carver Council(Earlene) of Eastover, NC, Albert Council(Mary Helen) of Tar Heel, NC, William Council(Paula) of Savannah, Ga and Daily Council(Betty) of White Oak, NC, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral- Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 2:00pm at First New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 5146 River Rd., White Oak, NC. Eulogy by Rev. Obie Worley, Pastor of First New Light.

Burial- First New Light Church Cemetery, White Oak, NC.

Viewing- Friday, March 18, 2022 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at Johnson’s Funeral Service, Elizabethtown, NC. The family will receive friends at the home.
