Mrs. Evelyn Urie (Atkinson)Massenburg, 72, of 8056 Lisbon Rd., Clarkton, NC transitioned on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Cape Fear Valley/Bladen Healthcare in Elizabethtown, NC.

Survivors- her husband, Eric Massenburg, two daughters. Margo White and Monica Lacks both of Maryland, six sisters, Deloris Massenburg( Antonio) and Patricia Johnson both of Clarkton, NC, Joyce Gibson and Mazell Myers both of Baltimore, Maryland, Fredericka Hurtado and Brenda Williams both of Winston Salem, NC, one brother, Alfred Atkinson(Joann) of Clarkton, NC

Viewing- Friday, May 9, 2025 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at Johnson’s Funeral Service, Elizabethtown. NC.

Visitation- The family will receive friends at the home.

Funeral- Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 3:00pm at Savannah Temple AME Zion Church, 9907 Lisbon Rd., Clarkton, NC. Eulogy by Rev. Joyce McLaughlin.

Burial- Savannah Temple Church Cemetery, Clarkton, NC.
