Mrs. Ethel Mae (Lewis) Evans, 81, of 9 Bellemont Ridge Rd., Pittsboro, NC, formerly of Bladenboro, NC transitioned on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, NC.

Viewing- Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at Johnson’s Funeral Service, Elizabethtown, NC.

Visitation- Family will be receiving friends at the home of Mrs. Sarah Singletary, 1711 MLK Dr., Elizabethtown, NC.

Survivors- three daughters, Vickie Davis(Dennis) of Bladenboro, NC, Barbara Evans of Maryland and Tabitha Bellamy of Pittsboro, NC, one son, Raleigh Evans(Malica) of Pittsboro, NC, two sisters, Sarah Singletary of Elizabethtown, NC and Sherby Lewis of Fayetteville, NC, two brothers, Edward Lewis and Carl Lewis both of Maryland, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral- Friday, January 30, 2026 at 2:00pm at Bryant Swamp Missionary Baptist Church, 61 Bryant Swamp Rd., Bladenboro, NC. Pastor, Rev. Christopher Lennon. Eulogy by Rev. Dr. Thurman B. Everett.

Burial- Baldwin Branch Church Cemetery, Elizabethtown, NC.
