Mr. Willie Lee Melvin, Jr., 83, transitioned on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Bladen East Health & Rehabilitation Center in Elizabethtown, NC. 
 

Visitation- The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Shirley Brand Lewis, 3335 US Hwy 701 N, Elizabethtown, NC. 
 

Viewing- Friday, May 1, 2026 from 12:00pm-1:00pm at the funeral home.

Survivors- five daughters, Karen Jether(Jerome) of Baltimore, Maryland, Cathy Lawhorn(Timothy) of Riegelwood, NC, Monica Williams(Ronald) of Elizabethtown, NC, Patrice Smith(Elbarner) of Tar Heel, NC and Yolanda Melvin of Washington, one son, Marvin Murray of Baltimore, Maryland, two sisters, Shirley Brand Lewis of Elizabethtown, NC and Pastor Annette Johnson(Wilbur) of Elizabethtown, NC, a host of grandchildren. 
 

Funeral- Friday, May 1, 2026 at 1:00pm at Willie E. Johnson Memorial Chapel on the facility of Johnson’s Funeral Service, 207 S. Pine St., Elizabethtown, NC. Eulogy by Pastor Charles Whitted. 
 

Burial- St. John Church Cemetery, Frank Melvin Rd., Elizabethtown, NC.
