Mr. William Dewayne Poe, 40, 1208 McLean St., Elizabethtown, NC died Thursday, May 30, 2024 at his residence.

Survivors- his mother, Mable Melvin, Elizabethtown, NC, his grandmother, Ethel Mae McDowell, two sisters, Gloria Melvin of Elizabethtown, NC and Loria Soils(Rodney) of Cameron, NC, one brother, Douglas Melvin of Elizabethtown, NC.

Funeral- Friday, June 7, 2024 at 1:00pm at Willie E. Johnson Memorial Chapel on the facility of Johnson’s Funeral Service, 207 S. Pine St., Elizabethtown, NC. Eulogy by Pastor Donald Thomas, Pastor of Lula Temple First Born Holiness Church.

Burial- Mt. Zion AME Zion Church, 807 MLK Dr., Elizabethtown, NC.

Viewing- Friday, June 7, 2024 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Johnson’s Funeral Service, Elizabethtown, NC. The family will receive friends at 1207 McLean St., Elizabethtown, NC.
