Mr. Roosevelt Washington, 83, of 221-32 112th Rd., Queen Village, New York formerly of Elizabethtown, NC transitioned on Monday, May 11, 2026 at NY Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY. 
 

Survivors- his wife, Nina Ruth Washington of the home, his daughter, Sabrena Washington Brown and Teri Brown(Daughter by Love), two brothers, Roger Washington(Celestine) of Amityville, New York and Mr. Harry Rudolph Washington of East Elmhurst, New York, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. 
 

Funeral- Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 2:00pm at Willie E. Johnson Memorial Chapel on the family of Johnson’s Funeral Service, 207 S. Pine St., Elizabethtown, NC. Eulogy by Rev. Dr. Michael McKinley, Pastor of Royal Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Ivanhoe, NC. 
 

Burial- Mt. Olive Church Cemetery, Elizabethtown, NC.
