Mr. Roland Marshall Pridgen, 78, of 2 South Grove St., Newark, New Jersey, formerly of Bladenboro, NC transitioned on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey. 
 

Survivors- two children, Karen Pridgen and Edward Pridgen(Quantiara) both of New Bern, NC, Children of Love, Bridgett Simmons of New Bern, NC, Ameerah Dunn, Nicole Dunn and Tamekah Dunn all of New Jersey, one brother, Otis Pridgen(Bertha) of Bladenboro, NC, 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
 

Visitation- The family will receive friends at the home of Otis and Bertha Pridgen, 16522 Twisted Hickory Road, Bladenboro, NC. 
 

Viewing- Friday, February 7, 2025 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Johnson’s Funeral Service, Elizabethtown, NC. 
 

Funeral- Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 1:00pm at Willie E. Johnson Memorial Chapel on the facility of Johnson’s Funeral Service, 207 S. Pine St., Elizabethtown, NC. 
 

Burial- Sandhill Cemetery, 15580 Twisted Hickory Rd., Bladenboro, NC.
