Viewing- October 17, 2025 from 3:00pm-5:00pm at Johnson’s Funeral Service, Elizabethtown, NC. 
 

Visitation- The family will receive friends at 23 Jones Lane, Council, NC. 
 

Survivors- one daughter, Andrea Hayes of Council, NC, three sons, Michael Hayes of Elizabethtown, NC, Leon Hayes of Florida and Vernon Hayes of Council, NC, one sister, Arlene Hayes of Council, NC, two brothers, James Bradley and Henry Louis Hayes both of New York, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren. 
 

Funeral- Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 11:00am at Kitchen Branch Missionary Baptist Church 2058 Baltimore Rd., Council, NC. Eulogy by Rev. Anthony Gause. 
 

Burial- Carvers Creek Cemetery, Council, NC.
