Mr. Juan Ricardo Purnell, 56, of 2908 White Plains Church Rd., Council, NC transitioned on Sunday,  April 6, 2025 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. 
 

Survivors- his mother, Rev. Rachel Mitchell of the home, two brothers, Vincent Adams of Council, NC and Sean Purnell of Bermuda, three uncles, Sidney McKoy of Clarkton, NC, Gary McKoy of Evergreen, NC and Yaven Daniels of Elizabethtown, NC, one aunt, Mary Carter Williams of Clarkton, NC, host of other family and friends. 
 

Viewing- Friday, April 11, 2025 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Johnson’s Funeral Service, Elizabethtown, NC. 
 

Visitation- The family will receive friends at the home.

Funeral- Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 3:30pm at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 1604 White Plains Church Rd., Clarkton, NC. Eulogy by Chief Apostle Charles Marsh, Pastor of Inner Circle Holiness Church, Rowland, NC. 
 

Burial- New Hope Church Cemetery, 904 White Plain School Rd., Clarkton, NC.
