Mr. Jovonta DeAngelo Purdie, 30, 75 Ridgecrest Ct., Lot 36, Lumberton, NC died Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Cape Fear Valley/Bladen Healthcare, Elizabethtown, NC.

Survivors- one son, Kash Jovonta Purdie of Bladenboro, NC, his mother, Vanessa McLeod of Lumberton, NC, his father, Michael Purdie of South Boston, Va, his maternal grandparents, John and Mary Drye of Saint Paul’s, NC, his paternal grandmother, Winnie Purdie of Tar Heel, NC, three brothers, Michael Purdie of Lumberton, NC, Kendrick Purdie of Pembroke, NC, and Ryan Pone of Tar Heel, NC, three sisters, Shawanda McLeod of Tar Heel, NC, Markuita McLeod of Lumberton, NC and Kesaundra Purdie of Pembroke, NC, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral- Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 2:00pm at Lu Mill Vineyard, 438 Sugg Taylor Rd., Elizabethtown, NC. Eulogy by Evangelist Sharecka Baker.

Burial- McLeod Cemetery, Owen Hill Rd., Elizabethtown, NC.

Viewing- Sunday, October 30, 2022 from 12:00pm-1:30pm at Lu Mil Vineyard. The family will receive friends at the home.
