Mr. James Clarence Council, 71, of 5611 Tabor Church Rd., Fayetteville, NC died Monday, April 18, 2022 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. 

Survivors- wife- Pastor Wanda Council of White Oak, NC, three daughters, Marie Fitts of Charlotte, NC, Sharon Thomas(Derek) of Argyle, TX, and Tramaine Orellana(Cruz) of Fayetteville, NC, two sons, James T. Council of White Oak, NC and Patrick Council(Paulnetta) of Bellflower, CA, seven brothers, Kenneth Clark of Hope Mills, NC, Daryl Council, Edward Council(Maretta), Joseph Council(Clara) and John Council all of White Oak, NC, Ronnie Council of Fayetteville, NC, Victor Clark(Evelyn) of Fayetteville, NC, four sister-in-laws, Carlene Thomas of Detroit, MI, Louise Thaggard(Ferris), Mary Thaggard, Annie Thaggard all of Fayetteville, NC, five brother-in-laws, Arthur Council(Lillie) and Charles Council both of Detroit, MI, Glenn Council(Debbie) of White Oak, NC, Vernon Council(Tonia) of Fayetteville, NC and Jerry Council(Diane) of Council, NC, 9 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. 
 

Funeral- Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 1:00pm at Mt. Carmel Holy Church of Worship in White Oak, NC. Eulogy by Pastor Obie Worley, Pastor of First New Light Missionary Baptist Church, White Oak, NC. Elder Willie Moore will be Presiding. 
 

Burial- Mt. Carmel Holy Church  White Oak, NC. 

Viewing-  Friday, April 29, 2022 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at Johnson’s Funeral Service, Elizabethtown, NC. The family will receive friends at the home of Pastor Wanda Council 9096 Rivers Rd., White Oak, NC.
