Mr. James Ara Smith, 62, of 527 Frank Melvin Rd., Elizabethtown, NC; died Sunday(1-6-19) at Raleigh Duke Hospital, Raleigh, NC

Survivors: Wife- Lonice Smith of the home, 2 sons-Barry Smith of Bladenboro, NC, Randy Smith of Abbottsburg, NC, 1 daughter- Santana Smith of the home, 4 sisters- Sally Sinkler of Elizabethtown, NC, Diann Smith of Elizabethtown, NC, Lena Mae Adams of Seattle, WA, Lessie Melvin of Seattle, WA, 3 brothers- Robert Lee Smith of Elizabethtown, NC, Carl Smith of Seattle, WA, Mike Smith of Elizabethtown, NC; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral: Friday(1-11-19), at 11am, Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church, 4047 NC HWY 242 S., Elizabethtown, NC; eulogy by Rev. Dr. Louie Boykins.

Burial: Baldwin Branch Church cemetery.

Viewing: Thursday(1-10-19), from 3-7pm, at Johnson's Funeral Service, Elizabethtown, NC.

Visitation: Family will receive friends at the home.
