Mr. Grover Purdie Obituary

Mr. Grover Purdie, 80, of Atlanta, GA, formerly of Elizabethtown, NC, died Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

Survivors- six children, Jackie Davis of Jamaica, NY, Laverne Purdie of Bronx, NY, Sidney Purdie of Bronx, NY, Grover Purdie Jr. of Bronx, NY, Gary Purdie of Atlanta, GA and Christopher Purdie of Bronx, NY, two sisters, Earnestine Johnson of Bronx, NY and Bonita Burton of East Elmhurst, NY, one brother, Eddie Purdie of Elizabethtown, NC, fifty grand and great-grandchildren.

Visitation- Family will receive friends at 327 Dewitt Goodman Rd., Elizabethtown, NC.

Funeral- Monday, August 5, 2019,11:00am, at Willie E. Johnson Memorial Chapel on the facility of Johnson's Funeral Service, 207 S. Pine St., Elizabethtown, NC eulogy by Rev. Ricky Jones.

Burial- Mt. Olive Church Cemetery, Elizabethtown, NC

Viewing- Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 2pm-5pm at Johnson's Funeral Service.
