Mr. Curtis (George) McKenzie, 65, of 16218 Twisted Hickory Rd., Bladenboro, NC transitioned on Sunday, April 5, 2026 at Premier Living & Rehabilitation Center in Lake Waccaw, NC.
Viewing- Friday, April 10, 2026 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Johnson’s Funeral Service, Elizabethtown, NC.
Visitation- The family will receive friends at the home.
Survivors- his spouse, Deborah McKenzie of the home, one son, Curtis McKenzie, Jr.,(Tawain) of Thomasville, NC, four daughters, Whitney McKenzie, Laquilla McKenzie, Laquil McKenzie and Zara Roberts of the home, two brothers, Charles George(Gayle) of Whiteville, NC and James George of Jersey City, New Jersey, two sisters, Vanessa McKenzie and Theresa McKenzie both of Whiteville, NC, 3 grandchildren.
Funeral- Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 1:00pm at Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church, 4047 NC Hwy 242S. Elizabethtown, NC. Pastor; Rev. Dr. Louis Boykins. Eulogy by Rev. Perry Frink, Pastor of Sandhill Missionary Baptist Church in Bladenboro, NC.
Burial- George Cemetery, 6170 JB Hwy Whiteville, NC.
