Mr. Barry Leon McKoy, 55, of 733 N. Mitchell Ford Rd, Clarkton, NC transitioned on Monday, April 7, 2025 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. 
 

Survivors- two daughters, Erica McKoy of Clarkton, NC and Alexis McKoy of Lawrenceville, Georgia, one son, Barry L. McKoy Jr., of Hope Mills, NC, six brothers, Bishop Larry Exum, Sr., of Baltimore, Maryland, Gregory Exum and Warren Exum both of Greensboro, NC, John W. McKoy Jr., of Temple, Georgia, Charles E. McKoy of Marietta, Georgia and Corey Johnson of Clarkton, NC, one sister, Rev. Wendy McKoy of Hope Mills, NC. 
 

Viewing- Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 11:00am-12:00pm at the church and after the service. 
 

Visitation- The family will receive friends at the home of Rev. Wendy McKoy 3527 Ireland Dr., Hope Mills, NC. 
 

Funeral- Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 12:00pm at Shady Grove AME Zion Church 1060 Microwave Tower Rd., Council, NC. Eulogy by Rev. Wendy McKoy. 
 

Burial- Clarkton Community Cemetery, Clarkton, NC.
