Mr. Alphonso Burney, 61, of 172 Farmer Union Rd., Clarkton, NC died Friday, August 5, 2022 at Columbus  County Regional Hospital in Whiteville, NC. 
 

Survivors- his wife, Gloria Burney of the home, one daughter, Cordiedre Burney of Clarkton, NC, one son, Devin Burney of Clarkton, NC, two sisters, Pastor Leona B. Cromartie(Harold) of Council, NC and Brenda Burney of Clarkton, NC, one brother, Linwood Moore of Clarkton, NC. 
 

Funeral- Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 11:00am at Willie E. Johnson Memorial Chapel on the facility of Johnson’s Funeral Service, 207 S. Pine St., Elizabethtown, NC. Eulogy by Minister Ursula Jacobs. 
 

Burial- True Vine Church Cemetery, 1503 Harrelson Rd., Clarkton, NC. 
 

Viewing- Friday, August 12, 2022 from 1:00pm-5:00pm at Johnson’s Funeral Service, Elizabethtown, NC. The family will receive friends at the home.
