Mrs. Shirley Mae Hayes-Jones

Elizabethtown, NC- Mrs. Shirley Mae Hayes-Jones, 81, of 414 E. Swanzy St., Apt. C, died Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice, in Whiteville, NC.

Survivors: two daughters, Shirley Jones of NY and Freda Gillespie of Council, NC, three sons, William Jones, Gregory Jones and Larry Jones all of NY, three brothers, Leon Hayes of Council, NC, Henry L. Hayes and James Hayes both of NY, two sisters, Lenora Hayes of Elizabethtown, NC and Arlene Hayes of Council, NC and a host of twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation: Family will receive friends at the home.

Funeral: Sunday, May 5, 2019, at 1pm, at Kitchen Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Council, NC, eulogy by Rev. Douglas Moss, officiating by Rev. Anthony Gause.

Burial: Carver’s Creek Cemetery, Council, NC
