Mr. Matthew Tolson, 69, of 1529 Garland Way, Virgina Beach, VA, formerly of Council, NC, died Monday, December 25, 2017 at his residence. He is survived by: two sons. David Rose of Whiteville,NC and Matthew Tolson III of RI; one daughter, Gloria Komorowski of RI; two brothers, Robert Tolson of Clarkton, NC and Odell Tolson of Fayetteville, NC; four sisters, Minnie Smith of NY, Mary Washington of Virginia Beach, VA, Lillie Beatty of Council, NC and Vivian Edwards of RI and 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: at the home of Mr. and Mrs, Thomas and Lillie Beatty, 2439 Figure Nine Rd, Council, NC
Viewing: Sunday, December 31, 2017, 12pm-1pm at Trinity AME Zion Church
Funeral: Sunday, December 31, 2017, 1pm, at Trinity AME Zion Church by Rev. Dr. Valentine Sutton and burial in Carvers Creek AME Zion Church Cemetery
