Mr. James Purdie “aka”Jr, 78, 270 Mt. Olive Rd. Elizabethtown, NC; died Tuesday(10-30-18) at Cape Fear Valley/ Bladen Healthcare in Elizabethtown, NC

Survivors: Wife: Arletha Purdie of the home; two daughters: Iva Stevenson of Durham, NC and Josette Cromartie of Charlotte, NC; one son: James Purdie of Henderson, NV; several grandchildren

Funeral: Saturday(11-3-18), at 2pm, at Pilgrim Hill Baptist Church, 957 Elkton Rd., Clarkton, NC, eulogy by Rev. Donald Smith, Sr.

Burial: Pilgrim Hill Church Cemetery, Clarkton, NC

Viewing: Friday(11-2-18), from 2pm-7pm at Johnson's Funeral Service, Elizabethtown, NC.

Visitation: The family will receive guest at the home.
